Three winning tickets were drawn in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska raffle for Alaska Airlines miles. The first ticket drawn, winning 100,000 miles, is Marcus Graves of Juneau; the second ticket drawn winning 50,000 miles, is Angela Vanlandingham of Fairbanks; the third ticket drawn, winning 25,000 miles is Sheila Ewing of Wasilla.
Thanks to all in Haines who purchased and sold raffle tickets. Haines BBBS raised $4,990 through your generosity. Hainiacs were especially awesome at ticket selling and deserve kudos: Georgiana “the champ” Hotch, Judy Ewald, the Babbling Book, and a tag-team of Jay Katzeek and Aubrey Cook. Haines enterprises that contributed prizes to motivate raffle ticket sales were: Alaska Backcountry Outfitter, Alaska Mountain Guides/Chilkat Guides, Catotti-Goldberg Art Studio, Haines Borough Pool, Haines Rafting Company and Sockeye Cycle. A total of nine local businesses supported the raffle by helping sell tickets. Our sincere thanks to all in Haines who helped and contributed, and to Alaska Airlines for their travel donation.
