Set the alarm clocks earlier. Students at Haines School return to classes next week under a new schedule.
Classes start at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 for students in grades 2 through 12. Classes for students in kindergarten and first grade start at the same time on Thursday, Aug. 20.
Classes are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. except on Thursdays, when dismissal time is 2 p.m.
The new schedule is intended to create time for staff on Thursday to address curriculum and other school issues.
Tuberculosis screening and immunization is required of students new to the district. For more information, call Tiana Taylor at 766-6700.
Classes resume at Klukwan School at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25 for all students.
