Haines Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers and kids enjoyed a beautiful Thursday evening outing at the driving range on the Valley of the Eagles Golf Links. The course’s PGA golf pro, Niall Hackett, gave our group of beginners and novice players an excellent introductory lesson in the game’s fundamentals. Kathy Pardee-Jones made our group activity and barbecue a perfect cinch.
Course owners Stan and Kathy Pardee-Jones are consistent supporters of Haines youth in many ways. Haines Big Brothers Big Sisters matches have enjoyed free golf for years and they sponsor affordable golf camps for all kids – like their camp for kids scheduled for July 20-22.
