Would you scoop poop in your own yard?

Listen, townspeople. Annette Smith’s letter to the editor last week is correct.

I live on the other side of town in the veterans’ apartments and see irresponsible pet owners stand and watch as their dogs poop in the center of town and leave it to beautify our town and for us to step in. If it was their front yard, would they scoop it up?

Let’s face it: This is your front yard and the face you show to your neighbors and the tourists.

The tourists visit, go home and tell others, “Yes, Haines has beautiful scenery, but one has to be careful where they step.” Sally Lix
