The New Old Time Chautauqua, a traveling road show and circus, is coming to Haines July 9-11, and organizers are looking for volunteers to help fundraise, secure venues and help with logistics.
About 50 tumblers, jugglers, musicians, dancers and other members of the group will descend on Haines this summer to perform, hold workshops and give demonstrations, said organizer Amanda Randles.
Randles said she is looking for technical directors, music coordinators, parade coordinators, workshop coordinators, potluck organizers and a treasurer.
The community needs to raise $6,500 for the group’s fee and travel expenses.
