Haines Big Brothers Big Sisters raised over $11,000 during our 2015 Bowl for Kids’ Sake fund drive. We received several hundred individual gifts and pledges during the campaign. Our sincere thanks go out to many.
Local event sponsors, contributing funds or in-kind gifts included: Lane sponsors: Alaska Power & Telephone, First National Bank Alaska, Howsers IGA and Olerud’s Market Center; Booster sponsors: Chilkoot Indian Association, Fogcutter Bar and Lutak Lumber. Team Parts Place again organized the Wii Bowling Tournament and contributed cash prizes and youthful energy during our March 6 event. Prizes for the event were contributed by Catotti/Goldberg Art Studio, Extreme Dreams Gallery, Babbling Book, Bamboo Room Restaurant, Chilkat Restaurant and Bakery, Mountain Market, Fireweed Restaurant, Klondike Restaurant and Sarah J’s Espresso Shop. Event help was generously donated by Neil Einsbruch, Ken and Judy Ewald, Ed Hays, Betsy Lyons, Anna Jurgeleit, Ardy Miller, Tom Morphet and Stephanie Scott.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters website, http://www.bbbsak.org/bowl, will still accept any late donations to support the Haines BBBS program. Thank you all for helping to strengthen Haines Big Brothers Big Sisters.
