Rain or shine or lack of snow, the Haines Winter Olympic Games will forge ahead Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Southeast Alaska State Fairgrounds.
Opening ceremonies commence at 10 a.m., followed by the BB gun biathlon at 10:15 a.m. The crowd favorite “I-Kid-A-Rod” dog sled pull begins at 11 a.m., after which competitors will try their hand at the tea-making contest at 11:30 a.m.
