Kaitlyn Stevens of Klukwan puts the finishing touches on a pair of knee-high mocassins made during a class offered by master artist Jennie Wheeler of Yakutat. Wheeler worked for one week with village students and adults on projects ranging from key chains to garments. Wheeler uses seal hide, sea otter and beaver furs, and a variety of leathers in her work.
