The school’s Community Education program is offering upcoming classes in sushi making and Tai Chi.

Resident Marilyn Harrold will offer Tai Chi, an Eastern exercise discipline, Feb. 11 – March 11. One-hour sessions will be held at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Cost is $50 for 12 classes.

Tai Chi’s benefits include stress relief, increased strength and flexibility and improved circulation and balance.

Yuko Hays will offer sushi making in two-hour sessions Feb. 21, starting at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Cost is $30 in advance and students make and take home six rolls of sushi. Proceeds benefit Hospice of Haines.
