The Foundation for the Chilkat Center for the Arts is thankful for a grant we received from the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation to help purchase eight high/low boy tables (small round tables) for the center. The Chilkat Center lobby is a lovely space to have a special event, and these tables make it even more versatile. We have already used them for the Lynn Canal Community Players’ “River Talk” storytelling event and for the high school homecoming dance. They will next be used for the Sheldon Museum’s “Valentine’s Dinner and a Movie” night Feb. 14. The community foundation continues to give back to our community in ways that improve our quality of life here.
