A little more than a year after Helen Mooney assumed ownership of the consignment store at 1 Mile Haines Highway, the business is again changing hands.

As of Nov. 1, What’s In Store became Talia’s Treasures, owned by Tammy Hauser.

Hauser, who named the store after her daughter, said the opportunity fell into her lap. She and husband Dan had been talking about Tammy moving into a job that allowed her more time at home, and when Mooney put the store up for sale because she was moving out of town, everything came together.

While the store will remain a consignment shop, Hauser said she is working on “putting her twist” on the space. For instance, Hauser is filling out the “man cave” area of the store, which features tools, hardware and other gadgets.

“It was on Helen’s to-do list, but we’ve actually organized it and straightened it out,” Hauser said.

“I’m still improving it. I’m taking it to the next level,” Hauser said of the space.

Talia’s Treasures is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The store is closed Sunday through Tuesday.
