How do you evaluate an assembly candidate? One of the things I like to look for when evaluating a candidate is how much they have given back to the community. Yes, we need to look at integrity, problem-solving abilities, good work habits and communication skills. But how involved have they been in the community? Do they walk the walk or just talk the talk?
I know of one candidate who has the integrity and work habits needed for the assembly and has given his time back to the community over and over. That candidate is Jerry Erny. Jerry has volunteered for the port dock cart, worked countless hours at the Elks, was a Big Brother, works the bike race and the Alcan 200. I can think of no one who will put more productive energy into the assembly, always thinking of what is best for the community first.
That’s why I am voting for Jerry Erny.
