During the month of September as we celebrate National Senior Center Month, we want to give special thanks to state Rep. Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins and state Sen. Bert Stedman for the special grant which they made available to the Haines Senior Center.
The grant will allow us, in partnership with the Haines Borough, to continue the weatherization of the Haines Senior Center. We will be able to install insulation and thermopane windows, which will serve to increase the heat and comfort of elder participants. Our goal is to help them stay healthy and live with dignity and quality of life among family and friends for many years to come.
