Organizations seeking grants from the Chilkat Valley Foundation have until Sept. 30 to apply for this year’s funding cycle.

For the sixth year, the local philanthropic organization uses proceeds from its growing “community permanent fund” to award yearly grants to support organizations and programs “that serve the needs of people in such areas as health, education, human services, arts and culture, youth, environment and community development.”

The foundation has $14,500 to grant this year, including a $600 mini-tech grant from Kingfisher Consulting.

Information about eligibility and guidelines and an online grant application are at the foundation’s website, http://www.chilkatvalleycf.org. Grants will range between $500 and $3,500.
