Several residents of Haines Assisted Living are now participating more actively in our meetings and group activities because of the public address system that was purchased with funds donated by the Haines Uglys. This donation has improved the quality of life for those who have hearing loss. We would also like to thank Tod Sebens for sharing his presentation on his trip to Cuba with us. It was wonderful to experience this unique and somewhat mysterious place vicariously through Tod’s slides and presentation. Thanks also to the many Hospice of Haines volunteers who visit regularly to read news, play cards and games, sing or just visit. There are many others, but finally (for now), a tremendous thank you to HAL’s Pals, who liven things up every Monday night with their very enjoyable and talented ensemble of musicians. Together you all help make our residents feel truly at home.
