I am a bike rider! Yes, it’s true, I wear Lycra in bright colors, a helmet, and fancy shoes. I like a little fun between my legs. I like to think Haines is bike friendly. But this last weekend, I was made aware that some people don’t get it. Bikes have rights on the road. Honking, yelling, blasting your horn at me is not going to end well. You want to pass? Then pass. Don’t expect a bike rider to pull off the road. Bikes should follow the rules of the road that all vehicles follow. That way there are fewer surprises. I will admit that I pause at stop signs. When your feet are clipped in to the pedals, you stop and fall over. Please share the road.
