Ella Feldman, in sled at left pulled by Cookie, and Griffin Culbeck, at right pulled by Chewbee, cross the Dalton City finish line at the same time during a heat in the “I-Kid-a-Rod” sled dog race at Saturday’s Haines Winter Olympics. Culbeck, Feldman, and musher Sally Chapell with dog Pelly were the top finishers of the sprint race. About 18 youths raced. The day of competitions drew more than 100 residents to the Southeast Alaska State Fairgrounds.
