Community education director John Hagen is urging residents to sign up early for the program’s sushi-making classes, as they tend to fill up fast.
Two classes – one from 10 a.m. to noon and one from 1 to 3 p.m. – will be held Saturday, March 1, in the Haines High home economics kitchen. The class is taught annually by Yuko Hays.
“It is one of our most popular classes, and fills up every year,” Hagen said. “Last year I had a wait list for it.”
All food supplies will be provided.
