Thank you to all those who braved the icy streets to come to the Sheldon Museum’s Christmas Open House on Saturday! We weren’t sure how many would venture out but you proved how hardy Hainesites really are!
Thanks so much to the many volunteers who helped make it a fun day for children and adults alike! The many and varied musicians entertained us with such fabulous Christmas music that had our toes tapping and voices joining in! Thanks to the “elves” who helped the kids make their ornaments, gifts and cards and brought a lot of joy to those little faces, and to the parents who will be receiving those gifts! Thank you to Seth Diggins for the loan of the “yes, you can play with it” toy train that was a hit with all the kids!
And last but not least, thank you to Andrea Nelson, who put together the wonderful “Antique Toy” and “A Chilkat Christmas from the Archives” exhibits that were enjoyed by one and all!
Merry Christmas, Haines, from the Sheldon Museum and Cultural Center!
