About 70 residents turned out Tuesday at the public library to hear a presentation by Palestinian exchange student Haytham Mohanna about life in his homeland. The event was sponsored by Haines People for Peace and included Middle Eastern food. Mohanna also showed off his latest origami creation , a peacock made of 2,000 pieces of paper. The peacock is peace symbol in Palestine.
