The Haines Dolphins swim team is hosting a season kickoff pool party and potluck dinner on Friday, Sept. 6.
According to a message from Dolphins board member James Alborough posted on the team’s website, the 3:30 p.m. pool party is a “bring-a-friend who might be interested in becoming a Dolphin event” for club members and prospective ones.
The kickoff then shifts to the Haines School, where children can be registered for the team at a 5 p.m. potluck meal. Families also can register online, pay fees and complete other paperwork at http://www.hainesdolphins.org/registration.
Dolphin practices are slated to start on Monday, Sept. 16. The team recently advertised for a new head coach, but Robert Butker then committed to return for a second season.
