The land at 19 Mile with a river access road is a Native allotment owned by the descendants of a Chilkat tribal member. Recently trees have been cut blocking the access ramp, giving rise to comments and questions as to who has authority/ownership of the land that the ramp is on. The land in question is not owned by the State of Alaska, but by Chilkat Indian Village tribal members.
