The Haines Emblem Club #463 would like to thank everyone who participated and volunteered for the Pedal to Push Away Drugs event. This is the sixth year we have held this event and each year it gets bigger and better. We started this event five years ago as an annual drug awareness event and it has picked up in other communities across Alaska and continues to grow. Thank you to the House of Beads for donating water bottles to give away; the Haines Borough Police Department for providing helmets; thank you to the Southeast Alaska State Fair for your donation; and a thank you to Preston Kroes and the Division of Parks for your involvement, as well. We appreciate all of the community support and look forward to it again next year!
