After learning there was not an Alaska-style chuckwagon in the 21st Kluane-Chilkat bike race, I felt angry at the disrespect for the riders. Both Alaska and Canada benefit and are honored by this event. For the riders to have to carry all their trip supplies is unacceptable. This race occurred during flood warnings which could have set off rock and mudslides on either side of the road. Heart attacks, heat stroke and falls on rocks could easily happen. A chuckwagon with extra water, high protein snacks and basic medical supplies is in order. How about it, Alaska and Canada?
