Stacey Clark looks on as two-year-old Slade Whitley slurps a root beer float at the “Help Keep the Senior Center Afloat” fundraiser Friday at the Haines Senior Center. The event raised nearly $5,000 between the sale of floats and raffle tickets. Volunteers raffled off 25 items, including quilts, gift cards to local businesses, and salmon lox from Klukwan.
