Staff, students and parents from Haines School parade along Third Avenue March 27 to celebrate the elementary and middle school being named a 2012 National Distinguished School, a honor that went to only two schools statewide. Haines won for improved test scores the past two years. The celebration included a barbecue lunch and a presentation by mayor Stephanie Scott.
