The Telluride Mountain Film Festival returns to Harriett Hall at the Southeast Alaska State Fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1.
The fair and Takshanuk Watershed Council sponsor the event. Admission includes a baked pasta dinner, 11 short films shown on a big screen, and free popcorn. Beer and wine are available for purchase.
Film are about skiing in Haines, on Denali, and in Japan; surfing a Tahitian storm surge; washing skyscraper windows; adventuring on the Mendenhall Glacier; experiencing a murmuration of starlings; measuring love in a laboratory; racing bicycles on the Los Angeles Marathon course; and other topics.
