Southeast state fair executive director Ross Silkman said Saturday’s Winter Games at the fairgrounds was a success.
About 50 participants navigated slush and ice in events that included mini golf, BB-gun biathlon, skillet toss, tea-making, kiddie sled-dog pull, and chili cook-off.
Rainy weather scratched a planned hockey tournament but that may be held yet if colder weather returns. That decision will be up to the local hockey association, he said.
Competitors won ribbons.
