As a staunch supporter of the heli-skiing industry in Haines, I would like to applaud the borough clerk Julie Cozzi on her decision to renew the permit for Alaska Heliskiing. Kudos to Ms. Cozzi, the borough and its legal representative for making the right decision vs. caving in the face of an endless barrage of paid commentary.
I sincerely hope Alaska Heliskiing takes this opportunity to rectify any and all policy and procedure by following through with ensuring that everything is done to keep their employees and clients safe. I hope to see their business and every other business associated with the heli-skiing industry prosper here in our little town of Haines, continuing to put us on the map as the best extreme vacation experience of a lifetime!
