Thank you to everyone who donated money to help Rita Maldonado. I spoke to her on Dec. 17. She is working hard, learning to walk all over again and had accomplished a half-mile that day unaided except for John Binger’s hand. Being Rita, she’s got a great attitude and is thankful to be alive. She says she is wobbly but the doctors are hopeful for complete recovery, and she says she’s a bit better each day. Expecting to be released from the VA hospital in Phoenix soon, she will continue her therapy as an outpatient in Pennsylvania.
