Lt. Dave Kyle and wife Mary of the Salvation Army in Haines accept a check from First National Bank of Alaska branch manager Allen Turner. Salvation Army collected more than $8,000 from the community during the holiday season, including through red kettle donations. The money went to holiday gifts and food and will help pay for social services in 2013.
