What topics should be featured on interpretive signs along the Haines Highway, and how should they be explained?

The state Division of Parks, on behalf of the Scenic Byways program of the state Department of Transportation, will host an open house Nov. 7 to introduce the Haines Highway National Scenic Byway Master Interpretive Plan, 6 to 7 p.m. at the assembly chambers.

Suggestions from the public will be incorporated into a draft master interpretive plan, said Parks spokesperson Emily Lochart.

At the meeting, project planners will present the purpose of the plan and participants will have a chance to ask questions, discuss concerns, and provide comment. Comments are due at the close of business, Friday, Dec. 7.
