The Haines Borough will host a meeting about the potential for wind power in the Chilkat Valley at 10 a.m. Aug. 2 in the assembly chambers.
Reuben Loewen, an engineer who previously worked for the State of Alaska on wind power issues, and Michelle LaBrosse, a resident and businesswoman who studied wind-power potential at a Mud Bay site, are invited.
