Warm sunshine this week was making it seem like a distant memory, but rain and cold temperatures early last week set several daily weather records in the Chilkat Valley.
Meteorologist Richard Lam of the National Weather Service in Juneau said the high temperature of 54 degrees F. on Tuesday, July 10 at the Haines airport was the lowest high for the day on record here.
