A facilitator is needed for the annual pie-eating contest, but other Haines traditions are ready to go and some new events have been added to Fourth of July festivities.
While most activities will take place Independence Day, some will be held beforehand, including the fire department barbecue 11 p.m. Saturday, the Mad Raft Race 3 p.m. Sunday, and a three-club golf tournament 1 p.m. Tuesday.
