Haines police are seeking help identifying the suspect in an alleged sexual assault downtown early Tuesday morning.
Police say the assault occurred after a woman was approached by a man in an alley behind a Main Street bar. The man dragged her down the alley and into a truck parked in a lot adjacent to the alley, where the assault occurred.
The victim fought off her attacker, escaped and was able to contact friends who came for her.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35-40 years of age, with short cut, sandy hair. The vehicle is described as a full-size, four-door pickup, dark blue or black in color.
