A wayfaring sign on Front Street near Tlingit Park was recently discovered slashed. The series of signs directing visitors to community attractions and facilities went up around town last month. Other recent vandalism includes damage to the men’s restroom door at the Port Chilkoot Dock. The new signs cost about $200 each to produce. A $250 reward is offered for information leading to successful prosecution of the person or persons who defaced the sign. Tom Morphet photo.
