On behalf of all the Haines High School students who attended the Pillars of America speaker series, I would like to sincerely thank the Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary Club for their sponsorship that allowed us to attend these events. These speakers were inspirational and provided us with valuable lessons that will serve us well for years to come. Without the club’s gracious support, we would have been unable to have this amazing experience.
Speakers included: author Josh Shipp, Lt. Col. Kevin Sweeney, and swimmer Rowdy Gaines. The Rotary Club provided the students with flights to and from Juneau, transportation to and from the event at Centennial Hall, and lunch. Thank you so much for your support.
