A poached cow moose found at about 38 Mile Haines Highway on April 28 was pregnant with twins, state wildlife trooper Rick Merritt said this week.
As of press time Wednesday, no charges had been filed.
“Right now, we don’t want to give a whole lot of information out, because it’s still under investigation,” Merritt said.
He said the full-grown moose was left approximately 20 feet off the road.
Merritt said more details likely would be released within the next week.
