I couldn’t believe the borough couldn’t find someone qualified in Haines, Alaska or in the Lower 48 for the planning and zoning technician. Did they really think we would believe the most qualified person is a Chinese national?

Did the borough raise our taxes so the borough could be so irresponsible as to pay $2,300 for a working visa for someone who should pay for it themselves? When she gets the working visa that is good for all of the states, how long do you think she will stay?

I hope the voters remember who voted for this in the next election.
