The Haines Little League would like to thank the Haines Emblem Club for its recent donation to our organization. The Elks also donated their “change jar” to the kids. It’s with help like this from our community that we can continue to offer baseball to the kids in the Chilkat Valley. We are pleased to announce that the week of July 15, Haines will be hosting the 11-12 year old Little League tournament for the first time since the mid-1970s. We will need all sorts of help to run the tournament, so if you are able to help with groundskeeping, scorekeeping, umpiring, housing, concessions, announcing, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to contact me! As soon as the snow leaves our field, we’ll be working on it in preparation of practices, games, and the tournament. Again, thank you to the Emblem and Elks Clubs for your donation.
