Haines students picked up several honors at the Region V high school basketball tournament in Ketchikan this month.
Seniors Tyler Swinton and Hannah Wing earned all-conference recognition for basketball, senior Cassie Galasso was an all-tournament cheerleader, and junior Margarette Jones made the all-tournament dance team. Swinton has since been named to the Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches’ All-State squad, as a second-team 3A performer.
