Songwriter and singer Tracy Spring, winner of multiple regional music awards, will perform 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 at the Chilkat Center lobby.

Spring’s songs have been called “three-minute novels.” Four have been used for soundtracks promoting philanthropy, raising funds for thousands of charitable organizations. She co-wrote “Of This World,” a song recorded by Peter, Paul & Mary on their 2004 studio album.

Her style includes swing, old rhythm and blues, jazz, and folk. Spring lives in Bellingham, Wash. She is a seasoned performer, known for her compelling vocals and versatile guitar playing.

Spring recently released “Looking Forward-Looking Back,” a collection of reflective songs ranging from finger-style ballads to rocking, bottleneck blues.
