After three years of the Hill administration, it’s time for a change. Think about it: What can you say Jan Hill has done for Haines? After 2 ½ years of attending every borough assembly meeting, and 16 months video recording every borough assembly meeting, video recording all the heli-skiing meetings, I just can’t tell you any more than Ms. Hill meets the cruise ships.
In trying to help work out borough problems and trying to be a friend I spent at least an hour every week at her store. Many of you saw the results of that last March when she looked me in the face and said, “We don’t care what you think, white boy.” That did it. I have worked too hard over the years to bring all races together and continue to do so. Of course when something like that happens others talk about their experiences. Many – both Native and white – have come to me about her racist comments.
It’s time for Haines to be over the Hill. Elect a new Mayor who will work to get things done.
