My wife and I were recently on vacation through Alaska, and were staying for one night in Haines, where we were catching the ferry on our return trip home, in Edmonton, Alberta. Unfortunately, we were involved in a motor vehicle accident on my motorcycle and we both suffered broken left legs. We wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of the wonderful emergency responders that attended the scene of the accident, as well as the great treatment we received at the Haines Medical Center. We are very thankful for all of the support that we received that night, as well as the huge help from Officer Cassandra McEwen and her husband, Greg, for helping get my wife and me, with our luggage and her motorcycle, onto the ferry early the next morning. Haines is a great community, and we plan on returning next year!
