Due to the tragic injury to a key operator and family member, the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Traveling Wall has canceled their tours to Alaska for 2011. The American Legion and the Elks Lodge are getting the visit rescheduled for 2012. The enthusiastic and generous support from residents, businesses and community organizations is greatly appreciated in bringing this event to Haines.
