Thank you to everyone who donated to the Cancer Travel Fund and the participants in the Chilkat River Walk. In spite of that crazy wind blowing after 10 mile it was a beautiful day for walking, running or biking and more than $1,000 was raised. Thank you to Phyllis Sage, Diana Edwards, Kathryn Friedle and Jess Edwards for all their work getting the walk together. We could not have done it without the support of our sponsors AP&T, WISEWOMAN Women’s Health, and the Alaska Guardhouse. Thanks to the Southeast Alaska State Fair and Shtumpa for the bandanas and hosting the finish line, Northland Excursions for the bus transportation and Olerud’s Market Center, and Howsers IGA for helping to make the event so successful.
