I really want to thank Maggie Stern for her efforts in the doo-doo clean up. It’s a tough job getting those frozen piles, I know. I have found all sorts of treasures left for me in the spring. It gives spring clean-up a whole new meaning, doesn’t it? The article ‘Scooper finds a lot to doo’ with its clever name was a perfect reminder for this time of year. Garbage, dog droppings, these things add up and even in small amounts can make a beautiful place look bereaved. I agree it’s easier to rationalize your own mess when there is already a mess there. We all need to clean up after ourselves to keep our town and borough beautiful, whether it is in town or up the highway. I really do commend all those who go out of their way to clean up messes that were not their own. Thank you, Maggie, and thank you to all those who do this anonymously.
