The words “thank you” seem so inadequate when I consider how very fortunate I am to be blessed with family, friends, and the community’s support during my battle with breast cancer. First, I would like to thank my very best friend, Alexis Trout for seeing my need and organizing a fundraiser on my behalf. A big thank you to Tiffany DeWitt and her organizational skills for the silent auction. The fundraiser was a wonderful success! Thank you to the businesses that contributed generously: Howsers IGA and Mike Ward and Kevin Shove, Mountain Market, the Elks and Emblem Clubs. Captain’s Choice, Babbling Book, Buckshot and Bobby Pins, Fort Seward Lodge, Haisler Hardware, The Alaska Side, The Alaska Side Framing, and the Outfitter Sporting Goods. It was so wonderful to see everyone who attended. My spirits were boosted by the love, smiles and unending hugs just when I was losing strength in my fight.

I would be remiss if I did not mention Dr. Noble Anderson and nurse Shelley Hodnick, who are the most wonderful care providers I could ask for! Diane Stickler is a dream at making travel plans and getting me home as soon as possible.

Thanks to my mom, my children and my special someone for your courage to walk by my side.

I hope in some small way this brief gratitude can begin to show my appreciation for living in the greatest little town I love to call home.
