For 14 years, the residents of the Chilkat Valley have been extremely generous making the Hospice Rummage Sale a huge success. The $9,300 raised in 2009 was over one-quarter of our annual budget and helps us maintain our services.
Once again I am asking the community to help us. Do you remember how daunting those stacks of clothes were at last year’s sale? This year we will try to reduce the amount of clothing by limiting the amount we collect. Only two boxes will be accepted from each donor. Please select only the best clothing to donate. The only exception will be if they are new clothes with tags still on. Otherwise, we appreciate donations of anything that is in good or working condition. We will accept only laptop-style computers.
The sale will be April 30 and May 1. As the sale gets larger, we need more workers. If you would like to volunteer some time to help set up or take down, call Mardell at 767-5487.
